True Colors Stands Out for Students
Personality testing company provides pilot program to Paso Robles Schools through Rotary Club
SAN
LUIS OBISPO, CA – True Colors, the worlds’ preeminent personality
temperament company will be used in a unique pilot program at Paso
Robles High School (PRHS) involving both teachers and students. Paso
Robles Rotary Club is donating all training and materials, which are
valued at more than $7,000. The True Colors program utilizes a
color-coded system of personality temperament traits that, when used in
different combinations, provides a personality profile and gives
insight into communication styles.
Bob Bourgault, PRHS counselor, who has used the program in the past to help students determine their individual learning styles, will help administer and track the new program. When the school year is completed, 130 teachers and 700 students, grades 9 through 12, will have completed the True Colors program. Teachers will receive instruction and training materials on teaching techniques using True Colors while students will be trained to use True Colors communication techniques.
Bourgault and Doug Mondo, President of LBC Global located in Paso Robles, which owns True Colors, collaborated to create the pilot program at Paso Robles High School. True Colors will document the progress of participants in order to determine the success of the program.
According to Rotary President John Hamon, “True Colors extends the teacher’s ability to reach a student through ways not used before.” He adds that the best teaching methods for the 21st century will focus on the individual – “unique [teaching] methods for unique individuals.”
True Colors is a division of LBC Global which also includes: LBC Video, LBC Conferencing. For more information about the True Colors program, visit www.true-colors.com.
