Team Building, Conflict Resolution and Wellness Programs
For Immediate Release
March 14, 2006, Santa Ana, CA: True Colors, Inc. programs are expanding and improving workplace culture by training all levels of employees, from executives and managers to front line staff, to recognize their greatest strengths and create a more collaborative business environment. J.C. Penny, the Rotary Clubs of America, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and other dynamic organizations are learning about the benefits of understanding the differences in personalities in an interesting, memorable series of workshops and edutainment events.
“True Colors has been used successfully for over twenty-six years in business, schools, non-profit organizations and more recently in the health care industry,” says Veeder South, the new President of True Colors, Inc. “True Colors programs foster positive, healthy, productive personal development that improves communication, teambuilding, leadership, morale and conflict resolution skills both at work and at home.”
The True Colors program is designed to improve individual performance and create greater levels of employee satisfaction, a more harmonious work environment, and more successful leadership and teambuilding.
Molly Hill, Consumer Group Organizational Capability Manager, Washington Mutual tells of her experience: “I have used True Colors in the past three companies I have worked for and although the products, services, goals and values of each are different, the True Colors message has been equally beneficial and meaningful in each,” says Hill. “True Colors allows people to identify and celebrate their personal strengths and understand why they, and their co-workers function the way they do. It takes people away from feelings as if they are put into a box.”
Nikki Hanna, Vice President, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of OK reports: “True Colors has been a major influence on our ability to work together to achieve goals and to appreciate what each individual brings to the table. It has become a key component of our ?learning environment’ program and is the heart of our teambuilding and diversity training. We also use True Colors to teach our sales staff how to sell to the different personality types.”
The concept of True Colors is to have participants identify their “color spectrum” using four cards that represent key personality types: Blue, Gold, Green or Orange. Each color has particular strengths and each analyzes, conceptualizes, understands, interacts and learns differently. But these differences, if not acknowledged and understood, can become barriers to interpersonal communication, making understanding between people.
True Colors clients include: Ford Motor Company, Kraft Foods, Boeing, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Correctional Corporation of America, BUSEY Bank, Motorola, US Post Office, Universal Studios, and Shell Chemical, plus National Education Association, Association of Educational School Counselors, Educational Service Agencies, Girl Scouts, Save the Children, and the Salvation Army, in addition to numerous schools and government agencies across the country.
